CALYPSO is a tender, introspective portrait of a young American-born woman raised by her Trinidadian grandmother in the U.S. When her grandmother’s health begins to decline, Calypso finds her world upended by the arrival of her estranged mother from Trinidad, a woman whose absence has shaped her life in unspoken ways.

As the three women are brought under one roof, tensions simmer and long-held silences begin to unravel. CALYPSO is a poetic exploration of inheritance, identity, and the fragile, enduring bonds between mothers and daughters
